DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

Historia Yi Wang is a Los Angeles-based film producer, director, and writer originally from Shanghai. With a strong background in film production and storytelling, she has worked on a diverse range of narrative projects, bringing expertise in development, logistics, and execution to every production.

She holds a master’s degree in directing from the School of Visual Arts, New York, and a bachelor’s degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where she organized two editions of the Luminar Film Festival. Throughout her career, Historia has produced and directed dozens of short films, with selections at over a hundred international festivals, including the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Beijing International Film Festival, Oniros Film Awards, LA Shorts International Film Festival (an Oscar-qualifying festival), and the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF), the largest Asian and Pacific Islander film festival in Southern California.

As a producer, she has played a key role at Paradox Films, spearheading projects such as Baphomet—her most fulfilling and healing on-set experience in NY/PA—and The Gray Dwarf Stars. Her meticulous planning, problem-solving skills, and passion for independent cinema make her an invaluable asset to every production she joins.

Beyond producing, Historia is dedicated to supporting indie filmmakers. She founded ReelRoots, the world’s first product placement exchange platform for independent films, further championing meaningful storytelling and innovative filmmaking. While primarily based in Los Angeles, she frequently travels to New York for film-related projects.
